PERFORMANCES

"We all have violence within us, whether pushed upon us with force, or soaked deep into our skin from childhood. Violence is an epidemic with no limits and no borders. It is cultural. It is learned. It manifests itself. It moves, unstoppable, from battlefields to bedrooms."

What are the violent experiences that structure our lives as queer people?

How do our past experiences affect our present?
How does one deal with structural violence?

What is our individual reaction to violent experiences?

How does the violence with which we are still represented and treated bleed into our lives?

“Are you ready to apologize for always apologizing? To take back all those times you said “sorry” when you weren’t really to blame, just to clear out a tempest?

Ready to take what’s yours and be unapologetically queer? To claim your space and own your queer femme body?”

We have dug up histories, uncovered stories, sweated and shouted to create a unique performance in Budapest, Hungary.

A project inspired by the resistance towards the far right wing anti-LGBTQIA+ protests, an answer to why gender identity is not an ideology but rather a reality that hundreds of Hungarians are struggling to understand on a personal level.

“My body is a temple, my body is a war zone. My body belongs to me but on some nights to others as well. My body is a wrestling match.”

"Body standards", who has the bodiest body and who can withstand the scrutinizing look of 10,000 disapproving people?

In Queerdos Body we unlearn disliking bodies that don't "fit in" and how to give society a big FUCK OFF?! A gorgeous wrestling match.

A time to embrace our gorgeous, queer selves. A time to give your body the love it deserves.

"Heimat" reflects the need for spatial orientation and the first “territory” that can offer identity, stimulation and safety for one’s own existence.

Heimat starts from our queer identity, our personal growth and safety or if there have been instances  where you’ve felt not that secure or encountered any sort of social adversities

Heimat has made way for xenophobia. Heimat is us, it’s only you? It’s you!
